O Meni
Hi, my name is Abid Nevesinjac, nickname Ado. I have been a radio amateur since 1981, when I started at Radio Club “Visoko” (E74FST). I’ve loved the radio amateur hobby ever since, especially CW, DXing, and contesting, but you can also meet me on SSB and digital modes from time to time. My QTH is Visoko in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, a place known for what are believed to be the largest and oldest pyramids in the world, and 3 POTA locations. Another passion of mine is music. I have played the accordion since childhood and enjoy it very much, especially performing traditional Bosnian music known as Sevdah. I also love spending time in nature, parks, rivers, lakes, and beautiful waterfall, so POTA is a perfect addition to that. I activate parks whenever I have enough time. My stationary rig is Yaesu FTdx10, various antennas including 3 el YAGI, POTA / portable rig is an Icom IC-706MkIIG, and I mostly use a homebrew vertical antenna made from a telescopic whip, which allows me to operate on multiple bands. I am also a team member of the E7CQ contest team, the E7HQ national contest team, E7POTA, E7BOSNIA, E7100RADIO, and E7100IARU. I am a member of our local radio club “Visoko” and ARAuBiH (Association of Radio Amateurs of Bosnia and Herzegovina). I enjoy helping young radio amateurs gain experience and prepare for their licences.
